Privacy and cookies

This notice explains how I process the personal data of people who visit this site or write to me through the contact form, in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (the Italian Privacy Code).

Data controller

The data controller is Andrea Visentin, trading as Vise Studio. For any question about your data you can contact me by writing to andrea@visestudio.it.

No data protection officer (DPO) has been appointed, as one is not required for this activity.

What data I process

Data you send me. If you use the contact form, I process what you enter: full name, email address, company (optional), project type and the text of your message, along with the language of the page you write from. Please do not include health data or other special categories of data in your message, nor details about other people that are not needed.

Technical browsing data. As with any website, the server automatically receives some technical data needed to deliver the pages: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, browser type and operating system. The IP address is also used to limit form submissions to five per hour and is held in memory for no longer than one hour.

Purposes and legal basis

To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, prepare a quote or proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), so no separate consent is required.

To keep the site secure and working properly and to prevent automated or abusive form submissions. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in protecting the site and its users (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

I do not use your data for newsletters, advertising or profiling, and I make no decisions based solely on automated processing.

Whether you must provide data

Your name, email, project type and message are needed to reply: without them I cannot follow up on your enquiry. The company name is optional.

Who may receive the data

The site does not store messages in a database: the content of the form reaches me as an email. To run the site and my email I rely on these providers: the hosting provider of the server the site runs on; OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France), which runs my mailbox and sends the emails; Google (Google Ireland Limited), which provides the Gmail service I use to read and send mail.

I do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes. I may disclose it to the competent authorities only where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the European Union

Google may also process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Google participates, or on the standard contractual clauses (Arts. 45 and 46 GDPR).

How long I keep the data

I keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last exchange. If it leads to an engagement, I keep the necessary data for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the periods required by tax and civil law.

Technical browsing data is kept only for as long as strictly necessary for the security of the site, unless it is needed to investigate misuse or unlawful activity.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies, neither technical nor profiling, and contains no third-party cookies. I use no analytics, advertising pixels or content embedded from other sites; the fonts are also served by the site itself.

If you choose the light or dark theme with the switch, your preference is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, key “theme”). It stays on your device, is never sent to me and only serves to remember your choice; you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

As a technical tool that you activate yourself, it does not require consent, which is why the site shows no cookie banner, in line with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines of 10 June 2021.

Your rights

At any time you can ask me for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). You can exercise these rights free of charge by writing to andrea@visestudio.it; I will reply within one month, as required by Art. 12 GDPR.

If you believe the processing breaches data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.

Changes to this notice

I may update this notice if the site or the law changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update.
